So last week was not a good. It came to a horrible climatic ending when on Tuesday when I lost the key to my car. I was feeling really down on myself Tuesday night. When I woke up on Wednesday I didn’t feel a lot better, but a had few extras minutes to catch up on the blogs I hadn’t read forever. As I read them, almost all the blogs I follow were a list of good things in their lives right now. After readings these I decided theat I would go through that day looking for the positive things in life, instead of the negative. I can’t tell you the different it made. So here is the list of the positive things in my life right now.

I now have the internet in my apartment, thanks to my father for finding me a cord.

Reading blogs about the good things in life.

Catching my bus right in time thanks to another person waiting at the bus stop that nobody ever waits at.

Riding the bus to school for the first time since the long weekend. (I love the bus!)

Having class outside on the hill.

The absolutely beautiful beginning of fall weather we are having.

Having two amazing institute lessons. (one included brownies.)

Serving a friend in need.

Eating brownie batter on the floor of my bedroom with my best friend. (and roommate!)

Quesadillas.

The beauty of the mountains just starting to turn fall colors.

Watching an episode of the BBC Pride and Prejudice movie.

Scrapbook Party and Glee Fest

Welcome to my new site for my old blog! I’m being daring and doing two blogs at once. Which is really scary because I was bad at one…but we’ll see how it goes.

So a few weekends ago me and my best friend had what we called a scrapbook party and Glee fest. It’s pretty self explanatory what we did, we scrapbooked and watch the first half of the TV show Glee. We’ve been scrapbooking in the summer time since we’ve been friends, but as we get older we get more busy, so we deiced to devote a weekend to scrapbooking. We started on Thursday at 1:00pm and stopped on Saturday. We did do stuff in between that time as well so it wasn’t straight scrapbooking. On Thursday we first made cup cakes, then went to blockbuster and rented the first three discs of glee and then got started. We watched it until 11 that night and then started again that morning. We went the whole day only stopping to make a glue run. That night we watched my cousins while my aunt and uncle and parents went on a date, then went back to scrapbooking and Glee, until we finished Glee. On Saturday we went to a garage sale/boutique thing by my best friends house, and to the local parade. Then we came back and watch a movie and did a little more scrapbooking. That night we went to see a play, Jane Eyre the musical, which was great, and that ended our party. So that was out scrapbook party and Glee fest.

Boredom

So I’ve been out of school for almost a month now. (wow that actually went quite fast) But for the last month I’ve not had a lot to do. I wake up, go to work at 10am come home at like 1pm then sit and watch afternoon TV until dinner, then watch more evening TV. Yep thats basically been my life for the last month. Kind of pathetic. I am taking two online classes and need to deep clean my room, but those aren’t very fun. Why is it that I always seem to be either really busy or completely bored.

Anyway, so I think my very unexciting life has kind of become a norm because the one night I do something with my best friend we end up at my house, me putting her to sleep. (we did early go see Alice in Wonderland and go to park before we got really cold.) So what we did was make the soundtrack to my life. Kind of fun. I went though my music and picked 14 songs (not necessarily favorites) that in some way defined my life and who I am. You know I probably could have done this on my own time that I have to much of, but no instead I do it with my friend and bore her. But a very interesting thing happened when I made the playlist I sort of discovered a little more about myself. Mainly I think I’m a little insane. I had like 5 songs that are sort of people that are not all there, living in their own worlds. Hmm…what does this say about me?

So I am clumsy. I’m always doing something that isn’t so graceful. So it’s the end of the semester and you know how that can be. Stressful. There’s just a lot to do a lot to think about—all the things you’re going to be tested on, what your grades are going to be, I need another job this summer, what classes am I going to be taking next year, and for some reason I keep thinking “Squirl!”. Yeah I’m pretty stressed. On top on that I was being my normal clumsy, misfortunate, accident prone self.

On Tuesday I was riding the bus home like normal, and like normal I had fallen asleep. (I like my sleep.) I was on the very back seat that goes across the entire back of the bus, and I sat in the middle, with the isle in front of me. There I was enjoying my sleep when very suddenly the bus stopped. Next thing I knew I was face first on the ground, in the isle. It was a very sudden stop. After picking me and my stuff up (my bag was on my lap, it too spilled) everyone was trying to see if I was okay, which for the most part the only thing wounded was my pride, other than that I just have a few bruises. That was Tuesday.

Wednesday wasn’t necessarily as bad, it just made it feel more like my life was crashing down around me. First of all I kept dropping things, (not too unusual) partly due to the fact that my right arm is strained from the desperate effort to keep myself in my bus seat. Then I was sitting down in my first class and I hear and big rip, as the my already partly ripped shirt ripped all the way in the back. luckily I was wearing a sweater that covered it up. The capping (no pun intended) event of it all was why I say my life is in the toilet. I had to go to the bathroom and there was only one stall open. The person before me had not flushed the toilet and there was still lots of stuff in it. But me being a good person (and it was the last stall) just simply flushed the toilet. Earlier in the day my lost beret had been found so I decided to wear it. I somehow lost one of my bobby pin so it wasn’t on supper well, but it worked. So back in the bathroom I had felt my hat falling off, so after flushing the toilet I went to secure it. It was not there. I looked around and there it was. In the toilet. Swirling down. Then it was gone. Poo. And in that moment it felt like my life right now falling in to the toilet, swirling down, out of my control.

The good news about yesterday I think I did good on my health test.

The Cosmic Perspective

At the beginning o f the school year I needed a Astronomy text book that was about $130. I looked on Amazon, and to get the e-book and cds (which I never used) It was only a few dollars cheaper than the bookstore. So I went ahead and bought it think I could sell it back at the end of the semester. But alas on Friday I went t the book buyback, and they said they were going to a new edition. At least there was no line at the book buyback so it didn’t take long. Then yesterday I deiced to put on Amazon to sell it. I’ve used very little and took good care knowing my intention was to sell it back, so I was able to sell it as “like new”. I priced a few dollars under the other “like new” books, and waited to see what would happen. Last night before I went to bed I somewhat routinely checked my e-mail. And there it was the e-mail, that it had sold! It was so easy to and I’m very pleased with the result. I have officially now sold something online. If anyone has old textbook they want to get rid of let me know and I’ll sell them for you. I’m having fun doing this.

A Crazy Day

Okay so I haven’t blogged for awhile, but I’ve been busy. Yesterday is a perfect example of my busy life right now. I woke up at 6 for class starting at 8 until 2ish. Then I went home briefly, then went to work from 3-7. Then, because one of the other assistant stage managers for Urinetown car broke down in California, I had to go to rehearsal which didn’t get out till 10. So it was a little crazy. On top of that I have a research paper, and three final projects to do.

Well this is blog post 2 in a week. I’m not sure what this is going to be about so if it’s a little rambley I’m sorry. I want to blog about Halloween, but I want to post picture with it and I don’t have those yet so…I guess I’ll just talk about a few things in life right now. I feel a little like I’m running around with me head chopped off, especially after my dream last night, but I’ll get there. First what I’ve been doing lately–right now I’m assistant stage managing Urinetown at my collage which should have been two-three nights a week, but the other ASMs are in another show going on right now until the end of this week. So for the past almost month I’ve had rehearsal every night in which I go and sit and watch them dance, which there are worse thing to be doing. Now I don’t always go to rehearsal because I have an evening class, and work. But besides that it’s every night. On top0 of that right now seems to be the busiest time at school, with papers, mid-terms and projects. And I’m trying to finish a project for my mom. So my life right now is wake up go to school, come home on the bus, get home at 3:00 do some work, turn around and drive back over to school and go to rehearsal. So I feel hectic, but really I wouldn’t have it any other way. So back to my dream last night. I dreamed that I was in a show that was in performance, being an ASM for Urinetown, and on top of that Stage Managing another show. I had no idea how I was going to do it all. So waking up this morning I felt a little better about my life. There are a couple of things that have made life great especially this week–1) Reading young adult fantasy for my 3700 level class. 2) Being paid (more that I thought I would.) 3) Looking forward to going to my sister’s in Idaho this weekend.4) Not having rehearsal a few times this week. 5) Rocking my scene in acting 2, and 6) Adam Lambert just put out two new singles, and there awesome! So Life really is good right now.

So it’s has now been officially over a year since my last blog post, so I thought I would stop taking up cyberspace with my blog. Don’t worry (for the two of you that still ever look at my blog or have me on feed) I’m not deleting it rather I thought I would sort of restart. I decided to give it a new look to make it newish. So there will be more to come. So the few of you that keep pestering me here you are. I will try to stay on top of things…time will tell. Over all I like blogging, and I like journaling, but I find it hard to keep doing because as of now it is not a habit, but I’ll try. So this is step one, there should be more to come.

Fish

So my last post mentioned my new fish. I got a Beta, Edward, and two Frogs, Shark Bait Oo-ha-ha, and Kermit. I got the fish on Monday and took them home and they were great. Then on Thursday I went for an overnight to trip my grandma’s. I feed them before I went and when I came home Edward had this weird fuzzy stuff on him. I thought that it was strange but Beta’s are invincible so I wasn’t to worried.

I came back fifteen minutes later, and he was at the bottom of the tank not moving. At first I thought he was dead, but upon further investigation he was just lethargic. I thought one of two things were wrong with him, 1) he had some disease, or 2) he wasn’t eating, because I didn’t have accrual Beta food. (It was Cichlid food)

I cleaned out the tank to protect my frogs if it was a disease, but I really thought he just needed new food. So I put him back in the tank and went to get him new food. I came home and tried to feed him but he was only worse and wouldn’t eat the new food. I decided to take him back to Pet smart and get a new one.

The new was a really pretty blue one and I named him Edward the Second, because I didn’t want to think of a new name. He was great nice and energetic, and prettier than the last. Then on Sunday night I noticed a weird whiteness by his gills, but decided I was just paranoid and he was really fine.

But I came home late Monday night and he had the same weird fuzz on him as Edward the First. I was very tired and already emotionally down, so I cried, because I new my fish was going to die. I wonder if there was anything I could do for him so I looked on-line to see what was wrong. I found that they had or Flexibacter columnaris or Cotton-Mouth Bacteria. It’s a bacteria that lives in aquariums that will infect fish after being under some sort of stress like being transported for the fist time.

And there was most likely nothing I could do about it.

But near as I could tell my frogs weren’t going to get, and it seemed like if they could they already would have. Well on Tuseday Edward the Second died, and I flushed him. I managed to kill two fish in just over a week. But my frogs were okay.

Then I came home Wednesday night, and was checking on my frogs, and I couldn’t see Shark Bait. I looked and looked, and finally I saw something pink, and there he was belly up at the bottom of the tank. So I flushed him. So now I knew it was only a matter of time before Kermit died. On Thursday night, I came home and he was all but dead, so I flushed him.

In a matter of a week-and-a-half I killed four pets. Now I don’t know if I should replace them or not. Or if the fact I can kill durable fish so quickly is a sign that I shouldn’t have any fish.

I am taking control of the ship! Everyone must give me your swords and your muskeets and also any fake body parts you have, and your parrots, and then I’ll be nice. Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe I will leave no survivors.

Now, since I am in control, I am going to make a few changes:

First of all:

Anyone shorter than six feet must wear platform shoes to get them up to the appropriate height.

Everyone must address me as “Lady Magnificent.”

Everyone must give me their computers whenever I want them.

You must give me three Christmas presents, one of them on Halloween.

And, if you are currently missing a body part, you must go get a new bionic limb/eye/etc. Because I want an able body crew!

We will also watch episodes of the Muppet Show continuously, and if we get bored, we will play the Muppet Show video game.

If we really need something new to do, we will all go fishing in Clarissa’s aquariam. 50 points to the person who captures Kermit the Frog! 100 points for the one who gets Shark Bait Oo-ha-ha.

And, three times a day, you must give me a compliment. Just so I feel good.

Glad you could be here for the mutinee. Hope you’ll be happy now.
